I turned 26 today
Today is my 26th birthday. And I've been thinking. And writing more than "normal."
So...much like Casey Neistat, who decided to commit to a full year (or until he gets bored) of vlogging, I have decided to do the same with this blog. Write a post a day. Publish it and share it. For at least a year. That's my goal, and it's public, so now I feel that I have to do it.
An interesting thing about goals is that until we profess them...it doesn't truly MATTER if they're attainable or have been met, because no one knows about them yet but yourself. They're just an idea in your head.
Your potential failure cannot be dismissed and ignored if you make it public.
I'm trying this for a couple of reasons:
- One being, I love writing and always have.
- Another being, I love this website and want to continue to add content to it.
- I also want to just see if I can do it. What if I can't think of something to write about? I'm sure that will happen. Deadlines are the best motivation.
- The final reason being, I want to be more open with my goals and embrace my own vulnerability in the hope that I can grow from it personally and professionally.
So that's about it for this topic. I am introducing this daily blog...that I technically started January 30th. We will see where, if anywhere, it goes.
Thanks for reading.
