Kells x Eazy

September seems to be an interesting month for MGK. The current beef between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly isn’t the only one that involves MGK this month, though it definitely takes the cake for the more interesting of the two.

Anyways why is Eazy dissing Kells? G-Eazy dropped his diss track Bad Boy directly at MGK. Apparently their layered issues resurfaced amongst the public animosity between Em and Kells.

MGK accused Eazy of copying his style in an attempt to steal his lane in hip-hop. The pair exchanged several blows on Friday the 31st, starting with G-Eazy’s jags on Bad Boy, followed up by MGK’s response in a freestyle on Hot 97. A portion fo the quarrel has also been centered around a love triangle with singer Halsey.

As the diss tracks fire away, Billboard attempts to recount how Machine Gun Kelly got to this point with his rap counterparts in a timely fashion.

Kells posted on his IG some side by side pics of Kells and Eazy trying to talk about how he’s stealing his style. He hashtag captioned the photos saying “MiniMe,” “StopLyingAboutFINLAND,” and “AllYourFriendsKnow.”

MGK’s freestyle included some bars directly pointing at G. “Let’s just keep it G/Only Eazy I f*** with is E/I seen he dyed his hair and got a hanging earring/I f***ed his girl, now he looks like me, this s*** overbearing.”

And in Bad Boy, G-Eazy repsonds in length to Kells’ diss. “MGK please stop trolling me, get over me/You wanna be me, you’re mad that you’re not as big as me. . .I’m everywhere, I’m your nightmare, you can’t get rid of me/Call an Uber, turn on the radio, imagine hearing me/Him & I’s on, mad you’re listening to Halsey sing to me/Can’t f*** with nobody with so much negative energy.” He also goes on to call Kells a “mini me” and “so below my class,” then compares their careers: “I headline arenas and all my s*** go platinum/You never seen a plaque and your last s*** at 30,000/It’s not a competition, I’d hurt you if I start bragging.” Then he threatens about Halsey, “Disrespect her again, I’ll smack you/I’m not a boy.”

This is the most interesting week in rap in my opinion in a while. I love Kells and the attention he’s getting. Also I’m seeing him this Saturday at Wrigley.  I am sure he will have some comments.
