Sir Paul

Most everyone who knows me understands that I've been infatuated with The Beatles since the age of 12. Beatles shirts, Beatles posters, Beatles coasters, you name it. Everything Beatles...all the time.

Thinking back, I never imagined I'd be able to see a Beatle perform live in concert, in front of me...but earlier this month marks my fourth time seeing Paul in concert!

I saw two shows from his "Out There" tour in 2015 (starting with Lolla-PAUL-ooza), and two shows from his current tour "One On One." I have tickets to two more "One On One" shows coming up in August and I cannot wait. Oh and I'll be fourth row and going to his soundcheck for one of them.

Money can't buy you love but it can buy you an exclusive invite to a Paul McCartney soundcheck...which is basically as close to a private concert as you're gonna get. I can't wait til August 13th!!

Take a look at my YouTube playlist of Paul playing in Detroit below: (watch it in HD!)

Paul in Minnesota 5/5/16

When's the last time you saw a 74 year old play like that?

Without a doubt, Paul is the most professional and talented musician I've ever seen perform live. Each show for me is an extremely emotional experience and I love it.

He plays for almost three hours straight, without taking a single sip of water or break from playing. He shares stories about how certain songs were written, and tributes to the late Beatles and other artists like "the late great Jimi Hendrix" and Prince (he played "Let's Go Crazy" in Minnesota...where Prince is from right after he passed. It was unreal!)

Though his shows typically play most of the same songs, I find myself attracted to a more unknown song after each concert. With Paul's extensive music catalog, it's cool to learn a new song at a concert and have a new favorite. It's unforgettable for me because now when I hear said song, I associate it with seeing it live in person, by the living legend, Sir Paul, himself...

My list of Paul shows (past and future) is below:
