Utility black 500s

Kanye's latest shoe and chunkiest one yet (I am pretty sure it's bulkier than the Waverunner (700) is the Yeezy 500. It's been released in a few colors so far, the latest being the above Utility Black which is actually more of a gray than a black color.

I will say the texture of the shoe is incredible. Is it comfortable on foot? Yes, but it's a really warm shoe Wearing it reminds me of wearing a boot actually. It's also really nice having all these different textures and materials combined on one shoe.

Am I mad or disappointed with my purchase? No, not really. I wear them at the gym and they are very comfortable even though they don't have the boost technology. I knew before buying them that I wasn't sure if I would like the bulkiness of the shoe, and I have to say I'm still getting used to it. I have another pair of "bulkier" sneakers, and they are the Adidas grey EQT Bask ADVs. I really like them, though the back is obnoxious and they are kind of clunkier than I am used to. I think with time the 500s will feel more normal to me.

So far, they aren't my favorite Yeezy. I think my favorite would be the OG Powerphase. They're such a simple shoe that you can wear any day and with anything. They also just feel so buttery smooth. The quality is insane.

As Ye drops more shoes, they become easier and easier to get. From what I read online and saw on YouTube, apparently the utility black 500s went fast in the smaller sizes, so more women are wearing that colorway. I'm glad that I found my size and didn't pay a crazy amount.
